The University's procurement strategy is to develop contracts that address the supply market for today and future needs. The purpose of negotiating and awarding University Contracts is to change the University's supply market through aggregating volume and increasing the University's purchasing power for the benefit of University Faculty and Staff members that are authorized to purchase products and encumber funds.

The Strategic Supplier Program is responsible for implementing and managing University Contracts. Strategic Contract Administrators are the liaisons between University Departments and the suppliers. University Contracts have an assigned Strategic Contract Administrator that manage the contracts and assist faculty, staff and suppliers with contract related issues.
