Eligible Renters are identified as Faculty, staff, retirees, spouses & children, over 18 (living in same household) of Faculty, staff & retirees, Consultants & Contractors (retained and paid for by the University), and Graduate students on business. Proof of employment is required (MCard or letter from department head on University letterhead). This discount is not extended to students or those persons under 18 years of age.

Age differential rate is charged per day depending on class of rental for those aged 18-21. Discounts range between 5-25% for “best rate available” at time of rental, depending on car class and location.

PCard is accepted for business use

Rates do not include additional surcharges, taxes or other applicable charges.

Insurance may be purchased for an additional cost.

Mileage charges:
Unlimited mileage at participating locations. Please inquire before booking.

Rates do not include insurance, fuel, upgrades, optional charges, taxes, fees or license and concession fees

A contract has been awarded by the Educational Institutional Cooperative Purchasing (E & I) to The Hertz Corporation and is available for use by the University of Michigan. The Hertz Corporation is a Virginia corporation that services the University from any of their Michigan locations. Ordering and Billing Information Pricing and contract terms are available through the Educational Institutional Cooperative Purchasing (E & I) contract. When using this contract for business purposes payment will be accepted via the University of Michigan PCard. When using the contract for personal use payment will be accepted via personal credit card. When booking refer to CDP #1719361. Book Online Log onto the following website: www.hertz.com. Enter date, time and location information on the Reservations page. Click on the “I have a discount (CDP, PC, coupon or other code) box. Insert the CDP #1719361. When you click on “submit” it will bring up all the vehicles available under the contract for that location.
