Dell has been awarded a University Contract for Dell brand computers and computer peripheral products for use by authorized University Faculty and Staff.  Dell is considered a strategic supplier as it provides excellent products, pricing, and services.  Dell supports the University’s Green Purchasing initiatives.

Dell is a Texas Corporation that services the University from its local office located in Saline, Michigan, USA.

Order On-line via M-Marketsite: Punch out to the Dell Premier Page and custom configure your system. Either save as an equote or click on 'Create/Submit Order Requisition'. You will complete the order on M-Marketsite.

Large orders, Storage and Asset tagging: If you purchase large quantities and are in need of assistance with placing an order, warehousing, asset tagging, or distribution services, the University has made arrangements with a third party provider; please contact the Technology Procurement Team at computer.procurement@umich.edu for details.

Order Status: You will receive your Dell order number and zip code in your order confirmation email which arrives within two days of ordering. You may check the status of your order at the DELL Website. Enter the DELL Order Number and Zip Code

If you need to check on the status of your order, before receiving the order confirmation mail, click the Dell icon on M-marketsite.  Click the “Order Status” button and search by any of the following criteria: Order Number, Customer Number, Link Number or PO Number.

Delivery: Most items are shipped in 7-10 days



Additional Information

Warranty repairs: If your Dell computer is under warranty, you can contact Dell directly by using the contact information listed in the right column of this page. In either case, you must have your Dell Service Tag # (i.e. serial number) to initiate service. Information on how to locate your service tag can be found here. You can check the warranty status of your machine here.

Credit Memo Processing: If you are in receipt of a credit memo from Dell, send the memo to the address below for processing:
