Hazardous Gases Program: In order to provide a safe working environment in UM research facilities, OSEH has instituted a program with the UM Purchasing Department that requires written OSEH approval for all hazardous gases listed in cylinder sizes larger than a lecture bottle (size LB) and concentrations over 50%. The listed gases are Carbon Monoxide, Hydrides (arsine, disilane, diborane gemane, phospine, silane), Hydrogen, Hydrogen Sulfide, and Oxidizers (chlorine, fluorine, oxygen).
